Our Story

Rock and Jordan met at the University of Guelph. Together they completed a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Real Estate and Housing. This is one of the few undergraduate programs in Canada that specializes in the real estate sector. The program takes a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of residential and commercial real estate.
Both Rock and Jordan furthered their education and went on to complete a Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation (PGCV) at the University of British Columbia, Sauder School of Business. After years of mentorship, having completed the AACI program of studies and fulfilling all the professional requirements of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, both are now designated AACI members. AACI Members are qualified to offer valuation and consulting services and expertise for all types of real property.
The partners founded the Agrecomm Appraisal Group with a mutual vision of creating advanced analytical data systems and processes that provide reliable insights and conclusions for clients.

Rock Kouwenberg
AACI, P. App
Rock Kouwenberg is a professional Real Estate Appraiser who has worked in the Southwestern Ontario Region since 2012.

Since 2012 he has gained extensive knowledge in a wide variety of real estate property types, including agricultural, commercial, industrial, multi-family, residential, vacant land, and special-use properties. Rock has extensive knowledge in the agricultural sector. His passion for agriculture started early, growing up on a farm just outside of London. Rock and his entire family is still involved in farming today. In addition to his affinity for agriculture, Rock is also a real estate investor in the ICI sector. His firsthand experience in real estate investing has helped him to better understand client needs, especially understanding the importance of punctuality and communication by appraisers to investors and the lending community.

Rock is currently the President of the American Society of Farm Managers & Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA).

Jordan Russell
AACI, P. App
Jordan Russell is a professional Real Estate Appraiser who has serviced different regions throughout Ontario since 2013.

Jordan’s experiences have helped him gain extensive knowledge across a wide variety of property types including commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, vacant land, agricultural, residential, and special use properties. Jordan also brings to Agrecomm years of experience both as a Realtor and as a business owner. As a Realtor, his business has been solely based on referrals from satisfied clients. His excellent customer service, knowledge, and commitment to hard work has attributed to his success. As a business owner he has utilized strategic thinking and the advancements in technology to improve his business systems and processes.

As a property owner as well as a real estate investor, Jordan’s firsthand experience has helped him understand the stakeholder requirements and the expectations of appraisers. He established Agrecomm to deliver high-quality appraisal reports, combined with transparent communication.

Jordan’s appreciation for the agricultural community stems from his mother’s side of the family. His grandfather is a sixth-generation Canadian farmer who has been farming for over 65 years. Most of his mother’s side of the family is still involved in farming today.

He is a member of the Canadian Real Estate Association, Ontario Real Estate Association, Toronto Real Estate Board, Ontario Collective, the Ontario Regional Technology & Information System, and the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA).

Appraisal Institute of Canada

Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) is your institute of choice in the real property market. For 80 years the AIC has dedicated its time and resources to its mission of providing high-quality property advisory services for the benefit of clients, employers and the public.
The AIC offers all-round services necessary for clients to make well-informed decisions on real estate. The advisory services vary from building and financing of property to arbitration and negotiation etc.

The Membership

The institute grants two professional designations:
AACI
These members are qualified to undertake any valuation and consulting assignment on residential, commercial, institutional, agricultural, land, and special use property types.
CRA
These are members qualified to undertake any valuation and consulting assignment on dwellings containing not more than four self-contained family housing units or on individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites.

The Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) is Canada’s leading real property valuation association. These members are highly trained and qualified to offer valuable advice on matters pertaining to properties and ownership.
The members offer advice based on their experiences, market analysis, and comprehensive research. This is critical to any property owner, government, investor, or business in making decisions related to property acquisition, investment, litigation and any other relevant field.
The AIC is an independent institute whose advice offers a third party opinion. They do not promote property, but offer guidance as to whether a predetermined investment is appropriate or not, using credible information.
The members work in line with a well-defined code of conduct (CUSPAP) that outlines how they should conduct themselves in a professional manner and deliver according to client requirements.
